7 Application Overview

This is the default layout of the application. The features are divided into modules; you can rearrange the layout to your liking.
The input selector toolbar is on the top of the window, below the system menu . It is used to switch between available man-
ufacturers devices. Once you switch the mode, the entire content will be reset according to the new input mode, except for
the ingest stack which is not affected and will keep on ingesting.
The source module allows you to switch between source devices for the current manufacturer. You can switch between real
and virtual mode. The virtual mode allows you to map any URI to a supported source. In real mode you can configure unrec-
ognized devices manually.
The explorer module displays the content of the selected source. You can customize the way in which the information is dis-
played in the explorer pane.
The sequence properties pane displays the metadata and MXF properties of the sequence that is currently selected.
The player module allows you to view any supported type of media and to set in/out marks to define the subclips to ingest.
The ingest module is divided into two parts:
l The destination list which allows you to configure the destinations on which you want to ingest.
l The ingest stack which displays the status and progression of all items sent to ingest. You can pause/can-
cel/rearrange ingest items at your convenience. You can mix any type of ingest items in the ingest pile.
