Tree and Flat virtual subjects
The ENGSoft source module handles two types of virtual source subjects:
tree style subjects and flat style subjects. Tree sub-
jects have to match the manufacturer's device file hierarchy whereas flat subject will accept any folder as is.
The
tree style source subjects file hierarchy varies from one device to another. Below is a file hierarchy chart for the virtual
source devices supported:
A root "CONTENTS" folder with at least one
"CLIP", VIDEO", "AUDIO" and one "ICON"
folder.
A "Clip" folder is mandatory and "Sub"
and "Take" folders may appear.
A root "CONTENTS" folder including a
"CLIPS001" folder.
Flat style source subjects can list any folder; all clip material will be laid out in that folder.
