2.9 LAN CONNECTION SETTINGS (PAGE 6)

2.9.1 I

NTRODUCTION

The settings for the connection with the MTPC board are defined in the Setup

Configuration module, on page 6.

This will allow interaction between the LAN and the MTPC board for the purpose of
system maintenance. The MTPC board and another workstation on the XNet
network will communicate through telnet or FTP access.

The XNetMonitor will use the LAN IP connection to transfer the monitoring data.

ESCRIPTION

The MTPC board connection settings are described in the table below:

Port #1

IP Address

Specifies the IP address to connect to the port 1 of the MTPC
board on the server. The IP addresses 0.0.0.0 and
255.255.255.255 are not allowed.

Subnet Mask

Specifies the range of logical addresses within the address
space assigned to the MTPC board connection.

Default Gateway

Specifies the IP address of the router on the XNet network
that the MTPC board can use as an access point to external
networks.
