3. REPLACING THE MARKER

When the mark made by the marker becomes pale, replace the marker as de -
scribed below.

1. Remove the document tray.

2. Open the scanner cover.

3. Replace the marker.

If tweezers are not available, you
may press the point of a pencil down
vertically into the marker and remove
it by lifting straight up.

4. Close the cover and put back the

document guide.
