Any key that you press is capitalized.

associated letter.
An up arrow icon appears in the upper right corner of your screen
when capital letter-lock mode is activated.

press a key, the character that is printed above the primary character
is inserted.

Selecting multiple items in a list

Hold either

key and roll the trackwheel to select multiple items
on a screen that displays a list.

Inserting carriage returns; choosing selected items

to insert a regular carriage return that moves your
cursor to a new line.

to choose a selected item.
BACKSPACE

Deleting previous characters
•
Press
BACKSPACE
to move the cursor backward and to delete
characters to the left of the cursor.

With one or more characters selected, press
BACKSPACE
to delete
only those characters.
•
Press
BACKSPACE
to delete a selected message on the Messages
screen. If you select a date on the Messages screen and press
BACKSPACE
, a dialog box appears asking if you want to delete all
messages prior to that date.
