Recording Calls and Conferences
Using the Advanced Features of Your Phone
Polycom, Inc.

If the Call Recording and Playback feature is available, and you connect a USB
flash drive to the USB port on your phone, you can record active calls (audio
component only) on your phone. Recordings are stored as .wav files on the
USB flash drive. You can record up to four hours in one file. The approximate
time remaining for recording (the free space on the USB flash drive) is shown
on the phone’s status bar.
The following figure shows that you have 15.8 hours of free space on your
USB flash drive.
The Record soft key controls recording and is available:
• When there are one or more calls connected to your phone
• During an active call
• When calls are on hold
• During a consultative transfer or conference call
(You may have to tap the More soft key to see the Record soft key.)
The Record soft key is not available:
• When there are no connected calls on your phone
• When you place a new call (to transfer or to conference)
• When the phone prompts you to answer an incoming call
If you put an active call on hold, recording pauses. Recording continues if the
called party puts you on hold. Recording stops if all active calls end, no matter
who ends the calls.
If you press
while recording, only the called parties are
recorded.
