If unfamiliar with cleaving, it is advised to practice using a spare piece of fiber. Generally, a light touch is all that is
required to score the fiber. The fiber buffer must be set to produce a 7
mm bare fiber length.

Alternative cleavers which produce a 7
mm bare fiber length may be used.
