For Use with Models: D600M, D1000M, DLV600M, DFB600M, DDH15M, DRM
CAUTION
Read and follow the instructions carefully. It is recommended that you save these instructions in the event
they’re needed for future reference. Before beginning any electrical work, either disconnect all power at the
circuit breaker or remove the appropriate fuses. Doing so will prevent electrical shock and avoid damage to
the equipment. This device is intended for installation in accordance with the National Electric Code and
local regulations. It is recommended that an electrician perform this installation.
Notice: Use only copper wire with these devices.
INSTALLATION
1. Before installation, disconnect power to the circuit by removing the fuse or turning the circuit breaker to
the off position.
2. Identify and mark each wire in the wall box, making sure you have the correct number of wires needed
for the appropriate installation diagram.
3. Remove the existing switch from the wall box.
4. Follow the wiring diagram that corresponds to your installation project (i.e., single-pole or three-way
installation).
5. Connect dimmer or remote as shown in the wiring and installation diagrams
6. Position the device into the wall box and install the faceplate.
Single-Pole Installation
1. NOTE: Wire colors indicated are those of the device only, not the wires in the wall box.
Be sure to test wall box wires before making any connections.
2. Connect the device following the single-pole wiring diagram shown.
Three-Way Installation
1. NOTE: Three-way or multi-location applications require the use of a
Multi-location Remote DRM, in conjunction with a Preset Dimmer.
A regular three-way switch should NOT be used to control a Multi-location Dimmer. Doing so may
damage the control and, in turn, void the unit’s warranty.
Fan Controls (DDH15M)
1. Turn your ceiling fan on to the highest speed prior to installing device.
WIRING DIAGRAMS
Single Pole 3-Way
No common neutral on dimmed circuits
OPERATION
LED Indicators
Soft green: User preset (1) Dimmer only
Bright green: Current level (2) Dimmer only
Blinking red: Fading off (3) Dimmer & Remote
Glowing red: Dimmer off (4) Dimmer & Remote
Set a Preset on dimmer (from off):
– Hold down the rocker top (A) and release it when the desired lighting
level is reached.
– Press the set button on the right side of the frame (C). (Dimmer only,
not on Remote)
Turn Lights on to Preset (from off):
– Tap the rocker top (A) once.
Turn Lights on to Full Power:
– Tap the rocker top (A) twice.
To Adjust the Lighting Level:
– Hold down the rocker top (A) or bottom (B) and release it when the desired lighting level is reached.
Turn Lights Off:
– Tap the rocker bottom (B) once or twice.
NOTES
1. Use D600M and D1000M to control permanently installed incandescent lamp fixtures only. Caution:
To avoid overheating and possible damage to other equipment do not install this device to control a
receptacle, a fluorescent lighting fixture, a motor operated appliance, or a transformer-supplied fixture
such as a low-voltage, neon or cold cathode.
2. Use DLV600 for control of permanently installed incandescent, low-voltage, neon or cathode lamp
fixtures only. Use with magnetic transformers only.
3. DFB600 dimmers are UL- and cUL- listed to control the Advance Mark X ® electronic dimming ballast.
These controls are wired to the fixture using two line-voltage conductors. A neutral connection is
required.
LIMITED THREE YEAR WARRANTY
Pass & Seymour will remedy any defect in workmanship or material in Pass & Seymour products which may develop
under proper and normal use within three years from date of purchase by a consumer:
(1) by repair or replacement, or, at Pass & Seymour’s option, (2) by return of an amount equal to consumer’s purchase
price. Such remedy is IN LIEU OF ANY AND ALL EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Such remedy by Pass & Seymour does not include or cover cost of labor for
removal or reinstallation of the product. ALL OTHER FURTHER ELEMENTS OF DAMAGE (INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES) FOR BREACH OF ANY AND ALL EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING
WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE EXCLUDED HEREBY. (Some
states do not allow disclaimers or exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above disclaimer
and limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.) ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING WHERE REQUIRED
WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE
THREE YEARS PERIOD SET FORTH ABOVE. (Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty
lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.)
To insure safety, all repairs to Pass & Seymour products must be made by Pass & Seymour, or under its specific direction.
Procedure to obtain performance of any warranty obligation is as follows: (1) Contact Pass & Seymour, Syracuse, New
York 13221, for instructions concerning return or repair; (2) return the product to Pass & Seymour, postage paid, with your
name and address and a written description of the installation or use of the Pass & Seymour product, and the observed
defects or failure to operate, or other claimed basis for dissatisfaction.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Schémas de câblage et d’installation ci-dessous
Pour utilisation avec les modèles : D600M, D1000M, DLV600M, DFB600M, DDH15M, DRM
ATTENTION
Lire et suivre les instructions soigneusement. Il est recommandé de conserver ces instructions pour
référence ultérieure. Avant de commencer tout travail électrique, couper l’alimentation au niveau du panneau
de disjoncteurs ou retirer les fusibles appropriés. Ceci évitera tout choc électrique et/ou endommagement
de l’équipement. Cette unité est conçue pour être installée conformément au Code national de l’électricité
et aux règlements locaux. Il est recommandé qu’un électricien effectue cette installation.
Avis : N’utiliser que des fils en cuivre avec ces dispositifs.
INSTALLATION
1. Avant l’installation, couper l’alimentation électrique en retirant les fusibles ou ouvrant le disjoncteur
du circuit (position ARRÊT/OFF).
2. Identifier et marquer chaque fil de la boîte murale en s’assurant que le nombre de fils est correct
en fonction du schéma d’installation approprié.
3. Retirer l’interrupteur existant de la boîte murale.
4. Suivre le schéma de câblage correspondant à l’installation désirée (c’est-à-dire installation unipolaire
ou tripolaire).
5. Connecter le gradateur ou le contrôleur secondaire comme illustré sur les schémas de câblage
et d’installation.
6. Fixer l’unité dans la boîte et installer la plaque murale.
Installation unipolaire
1. REMARQUE : Les couleurs des fils indiquées sont celles de l’unité uniquement, pas celles des fils
de boîte murale.
S’assurer de bien tester les fils de la boîte murale avant de faire les connexions.
2. Connecter l’unité en suivant le schéma de câblage unipolaire illustré.
Installation tripolaire
1. REMARQUE : Les applications tripolaires ou à emplacements multiples nécessitent l’utilisation
d’un Contrôleur secondaire pour emplacements multiples DRM, en plus d’un Gradateur préréglé.
Un interrupteur tripolaire normal NE doit PAS être utilisé pour contrôler un Gradateur pour emplacements
multiples. Ceci endommagerait le contrôleur et par conséquent, annulerait la garantie de l’unité.
Contrôleurs de ventilateur (DDH15M)
1. Réglez votre ventilateur de plafond à sa vitesse maximale avant d'installer l'unité.
