9-2.2. Detailed Scenarios
9-2.2.1. Fuel Ring only scenario
For refueling with Fuel Ring, there is no need for any User Interface terminal (OrPT or OrTR).
There are no related display messages during Fuel Ring refueling process.
The Fuel Ring is checked against the positive list of devices and the system authorizes refueling
according to the obligo/various limits and restrictions assigned to this specific device.
In cases where a OrTR display is connected to a single pump side, it displays an alert message when
the Fuel Ring is not authorized:
VIU Not
Authorized
and the lamps light up.
9-2.2.2. Fuel Ring Transactions Options
For Fuel Ring transactions, there are several options that can be defined in the SiteOmat
application:
• Suspend / resume
During the fueling process if the connection between SiteOmat and the Fuel Ring device
disappears, SiteOmat stops the fueling process immediately. The transaction is completed only
when the driver handles down the nozzle. Until the nozzle is handled down the transaction
remains open. In cases where the SiteOmat recognizes the same device again, the transaction is
resumed from the same point.
There is no timeout for the suspend process, the system waits
constantly for resume or until the driver handles down the nozzle.
NOTE
The Suspend/Resume function differs for pure
mechanical, electronic pumps and electronic pumps
lacking the protocol option to call for relay to enable
the function. The PumpSRv setup should support
relay options.
• Cut off delay
For each nozzle users can define the time between the disconnection of the Fuel Ring and the
suspension of the operation. This function is relevant in “top filling” scenarios for heavy
vehicles; it allows the driver to refuel the truck tank up to the maximum without disconnecting
the Fuel Ring communication.
