V-stream encoding
If the available bandwidth is limited, you can remotely view several channels in
real time with one stream over the web browser or CMS (Client Management
System), such as TruVision navigator, using the V-stream encoding option (“V”
stands for “virtual”). When enabled, you can see the output from the cameras on
a remote client monitor in one stream.
Note: It is not recommended to use the V-stream feature when a CVBS monitor
is used as a main monitor because the CVBS main monitor and the V-stream
use the same output.
To enable V-streaming:
1. Click the
Video Schedule
icon
in the menu toolbar.
2. Select
Encoding
>
V-stream Encoding
.
3. Check
Enable V-stream Encoding
.
4. Select
the desired settings for frame rate, and maximum bit rate (Kbps).
Note: The maximum bit rate option is set to “General” only.
5. Click
Apply
to save the settings.
