Combustion Calibration (Cont.)
18. Turn ON the main power to the unit.
19. Repeat Step 3 through Step 10 again.
20. Turn OFF the main power to the unit.
21. Disconnect plug “B” from connector “D” and connect it to connector “E” of the “Burner 4”, if
present (See Figure 4-3).
22. Turn ON the main power to the unit.
23. Repeat Step 3 through Step 10 again.
24. Turn OFF the main power to the unit.
25. Close the combustion analysis probe “H” in Figure 3-25 with a suitable cap in accordance
with the vent pipe manufacturers’ instructions.
WARNING!
Once the cap “L” in Figure 3-28 is correctly installed with the unit
at high fire, check that there are no leaks and that the cap is
mechanically secure.
4.8 Minimum Water Flow
This unit is self-protected against low water flow. A water flow meter (Boiler: item “16”, Figure
2-1 or Water Heater: item “18”, Figure 2-7) continuously monitors the water flow to each burner.
If the water flow decreases below the minimum stated, the burner automatically shuts off.
This value is adjustable via parameter 3035.
4.9 Heating System Pressure Test
If the pressure inside the heating circuit falls below the minimum pressure for the system, the
appliance switches off and the display “N” as per Figure 4-1, shows Err 59 to indicate that it is
necessary to restore t
he correct pressure. Open the filling valve and check the pressure on the
pressure gauge “M” of Figure 4-1, the word Err 59 will disappear when the pressure is back at
the right value. To prevent acci
dental relief valve openings, fill the heating circuit slowly.
This value is adjustable via parameter 3022.
CAUTION!
During normal operations, the filling valve must always remain in
the closed position.
If after one month the pressure cont
inues to decrease, call a qualified service technician.
CAUTION!
Continual fresh make-up water will reduce boiler life. Mineral
buildup in the heat exchanger reduces heat transfer, overheats
the stainless steel heat exchanger, and causes failure. Addition of
oxygen carried in by makeup water can cause internal corrosion in
system components. Leaks in boiler or piping must be repaired at
once to prevent makeup water entering the boiler.
