Power Supply
Internal Battery
The SignalHawk has an internal, rechargeable, lithium-ion battery pack that will
operate the unit for a minimum of 3 hours of continuous use. Recharging time,
from a full discharge, is approximately 4 hours. When running the unit on bat-
tery power, the percentage of battery life remaining is displayed in the lower
right corner of the screen.
Note:
When the unit is shipped from the factory, the battery may
not be fully charged. Use an AC adapter when the unit is operated
for the first time.
Power Adapters
The SignalHawk can be operated using the supplied AC adapter or a 12V auto-
mobile cigarette lighter adapter. Using these adapters will also charge the inter-
nal battery.
Note:
When using the supplied car charging adapter, a minimum
voltage of 11.5V is required. To ensure complete charging, at least 13V
must be present at the DC input.
WARNING
When using the AC adapter, connect the AC plug only to a
properly grounded receptacle. Serious injury or death can
occur if not properly grounded.
