Settings in the Detail View Window
The Detail View window includes a number of fields and buttons for creating a
database record. Only a few of these settings are required for the purpose of using the
database to create a cut list or change list.
Detail view settings required if you intend to generate a cut list or change list:
 lab, camera, or daily roll
 key number or ink number
Additionally, each source clip must be connected to a record, unless you can use the
timecode-based method for cut list or change list generation (see “
Database Shortcut for Camera-Roll Transfers
To use the timecode-based method for cut list or change list generation, these
elements are also needed:
 video reel
 timecode and duration
Settings required if you intend to export an audio EDL:
 Each source clip must be connected to a record or each record must have the video
reel and video timecode and duration entered.
 Each record must have the sound roll, sound timecode, and sound timecode rate
(Sound TC Rate) entered.
