Controlled Printing
The controlled printing feature controls and protects printing of
sensitive data. You can password-protect a job on the client
workstation in the Print Driver window and submit it to print. When
the job has finished printing, it is automatically deleted. If the job
fails during processing or printing—for example, due to a paper
jam, or the job was aborted, the job is moved to the Storage area
and requires a password to reprint it.
You cannot perform the following actions on a controlled job that
resides in the Storage area.
• Archive
• Export as PDF2GO
• Duplicate
• Preview
• View a thumbnail image
To lock the job:
1. In the Print Driver window, click Controlled Printing .
2. In the Password box, type a password consisting of four digits,
and click OK .
