To perform off-the-glass calibration:
1. In the Preferences window, under Calibration , select Calibration
is done off-the-glass .
2. On the toolbar, click Calibration .
3. In the Tray list, select the desired tray. The default is Tray 1 . You
can print the calibration chart on any paper size that is equal to
or larger than A4 or Letter.
4. In the Media Type list, select the desired media type—for
example, Coated . The default setting is Use Printer Settings .
When this option is selected, your job is printed on the media
type that is defined on the printer.
5. In the Screening list, select the screening method. For best
results, select the set the screen type to the one that you are
going to use to print the job.
6. In the Number of copies box, enter the number of copies you
want to print.
7. Click Print .
The calibration chart prints.
