230
Note
If in step 15 you included the OUTPUT option with the RESTORE
CONFIG command to create an output file, perform step 17. If you
did not include the option, go to step 18.
17. If in step 15 you included the OUTPUT option with the RESTORE
CONFIG command to create an output file, do the following:
a. Use the PUT FILE command to download the output file created by
the OUTPUT option in step 15 to a network server. This example
of the command downloads an output file called results.txt from the
controller card to a TFTP server:
put file=results.txt tftp server=149.135.78.12
b. Open the file with a word processor or text editor and examine the
output for error messages. If there are no error messages,
continue with this procedure. If there are error messages, contact
Allied Telesis technical support for assistance.
18. Verify the hardware operations of the unit by performing the
instructions in Chapter 10, “Verifying the Hardware Operations of the
Chassis” on page 211.
19. From a local or remote management session of the chassis, enter the
SHOW SYSTEM command and check the state of the “High Speed
Backplane” parameter. An example is shown in Figure 155 on page
248. The parameter should display “Yes” to indicate that the
backplane in the unit supports two AT-SBx31CFC960 Controller
Cards. If the parameter displays “No,” the chassis has an old
backplane and does not support two controller cards. If you see this,
contact Allied Telesis technical support or your sales representative for
assistance.
20. From a local or remote management session, use the appropriate
SHOW commands to confirm the configuration settings of the
controller and Ethernet line cards. For instructions, refer to Software
Reference for SwitchBlade x3100 Series Switches.
Note
If the chassis was previously using the DHCP relay filtering option,
continue with this procedure to reactivate it on the ports. If the
chassis was not using the filtering option, the upgrade is complete.
