Combining XP Continuous Access Journal with LUSE
A LUSE pvol and LUSE svol can be assigned to an XP Continuous Access Journal pair, but must
consist of the same number of LDEVs and have the same capacity. To perform a LUSE management
operation to a primary or secondary data volume in an existing XP Continuous Access Journal
pair, you must delete the pair first to return the volumes to SMPL status. For detailed information

Combining XP Continuous Access Journal with Virtual LUN
You can perform Virtual LUN operations on primary and secondary data volumes in XP Continuous
Access Journal pairs. To perform Virtual LUN operations on an XP Continuous Access Journal
primary or secondary data volume, delete the pair first to return the volume to SMPL status.
When creating an XP Continuous Access Journal pair consisting of two Virtual LUN volumes, ensure
that the primary and secondary data volumes have the same capacity.
Combining XP Continuous Access Journal with XP Cache LUN
You can perform XP Cache LUN operations on XP Continuous Access Journal primary and secondary
data volumes.
