In the Change JNL Option pane (

), change journal group options, and

click Set.

CAUTION:

If the journal group's status is Active or if the master journal group's status is

Hold, you can change only the Line of Speed option.

NOTE:

If you selected two or more journal groups in step 3 and want to leave some options

in the Change JNL Options pane unchanged, specify blank for the options. If you specify
blank for an option, the option value remains unchanged. If you specify a value other than
blank, the specified value is set to the selected journal groups.

In the Preset list, check the settings you made.

To modify a setting, right-click the setting in the Preset list, and select Modify.

To cancel a setting, right-click the setting, and select Cancel.

Click Apply to apply the settings.

NOTE:

If an error occurs, the right-most column of the Preset list displays the error code. To

view detailed information about the error, right-click the error code, and select Error Detail.
An error message appears providing detailed information about the error.

Meta/Data Ratio: Ratio of metadata area to journal data area. For example, if you select 16,
the ratio of metadata area to journal data area is 1:16. If you select 32, the ratio of metadata
area to journal data area is 1:32.

NOTE:

In the current version, you cannot change the ratio of metadata area to journal data

area.

Extent: Number of extents.

NOTE:

In the current version, the number of extents is always 32 and cannot be changed.

Inflow Control: Specifies whether inflow of update I/Os to the journal volume is restricted (in
other words, whether to slow delay response to hosts).

Yes: Inflow is restricted.

No: Inflow is not restricted.
