NAS Sync Image
When using XP Continuous Access Journal or XP Business Copy to copy a file system managed
by NAS Sync Image, you must copy LUs constituting the file system and LUs constituting
differential-data storage devices. If you copy only LUs constituting a file system, you cannot
connect them to the NAS Blade system on the secondary site.
The setting for an automatic creation schedule for NAS Sync Image is not copied. The
differential-data snapshot mounted by the automatic creation schedule is not mounted at the
copy destination.
Prerequisites
Hardware prerequisites
You need a workstation or PC to log in to the NAS Blade system using secure shell (SSH) in addition
to the required hardware for XP Continuous Access Journal, XP RAID Manager, and the NAS Blade
system described in the following guides:

Software prerequisites
All of the following program products (PPs) must be installed in the NAS Blade connecting to the

UID for user registration and GID for group registration in primary/secondary sites
With XP Continuous Access Journal, the file owner information (UID and GID in the primary
site) and quota and ACL information for each user (UID in the primary site) and group (GID
in the primary site) included in the source file system are copied to the secondary site. Note
the UID for user registration and GID for group registration in the primary and secondary sites
