Rack Considerations

Consider the following items when working with server rack systems.

Rack Stability

Rack stability is of special concern when equipment is routinely installed, removed,
or accessed within the rack. Stability is addressed through the use of leveling feet,
stabilizers, and ballast.

Leveling Feet (Jacks)

Leveling feet are adjustable stabilizers that level the cabinet at the installation site
and take the balance off the wheels.
