Hardware Security
The following hardware security features are available in the ProLiant DL760 G2
server:
• A switch on the I/O board establishes the following hardware security features:
— Configuration (NVRAM) lock—Disallows configuration changes when
enabled by not allowing nonvolatile memory to be modified.
— Diskette boot control—Enables and disables the diskette boot functions.
When disabled, the system will not boot from a diskette, but runtime diskette
read and write functions are still available.
• The internal security screw prevents unauthorized removal of the server modules.
Tighten the security screw between the processor and memory module and the
I/O module as shown in Figure 1-5 to secure the modules.
