Define a replication set rule by using the

repset rule add

command.

command to completely define your replication set.

REPSET RULE ADD

Description

Adds a rule to a replication set. A rule is the specification of a path including volume, directories,
wild cards, and/or file names.

Syntax

REPSET RULE ADD <

—Volume, directory, wild card, and/or file name

INCLUDE

—Include the specified path in the replication set

EXCLUDE

—Exclude the specified path in the replication set

RECURSIVE

—All subdirectories and files are recursively included or excluded

NONRECURSIVE

—All subdirectories and files are non-recursively included or excluded

repset

—Name of the replication set

Examples

repset rule add c:\exchange to “Exchange Repset”

The default settings for this command are include and recursive.

If you do not specify a replication set name, the current replication set will be used.

If the path begins with a non-alphabetic character or if the replication set name includes
non-alphanumeric characters, the path or name must be enclosed in quotation marks.
