IPSetup Error and Warning
Messages
Error Messages
These errors might appear while you run the IPSetup Windows application.
Cause. IPSetup could not read the specified file. Either it is corrupt, or it is not set to
allow access to the user running IPSetup.
Recovery. Check and correct the file’s security settings. If the file is viewable by the
user, the file is corrupt and must be replaced.
Cause. The memory resources on your PC are getting too low for IPSetup to run.
Recovery. Exit IPSetup, close all other Windows applications, and run IPSetup again.
Cause. IPSetup could not find a directory for the requested platform under the product
directory. Either you are running IPSetup from a hard disk using an incomplete copy of
the product distribution, or the distribution medium is corrupt.
Recovery. If you are running IPSetup from a hard disk, recopy all the files from the
distribution medium, making sure the directory hierarchy is preserved. If you are
running IPSetup from the distribution medium, get a new copy of it.
Cause. IPSetup could not send a Guardian command to the host to select the
Guardian file system because the version of Windows does not support custom FTP
commands.
Recovery. If the Guardian user ID has an OSS initial-directory setting, IPSetup cannot
send product files to the Guardian file system on the host.
A read error occurred on the file file-name.
A window creation error occurred. Windows resources may be
low.
Close some applications and run setup again.
An error occurred querying the package file package-file.
Client does not support FTP commands ( proc-name procedure
not found in module-name).
