Task 2: Provide Needed Placement Information
3. Follow the instructions in the installer application to finish installing the IP
on your workstation.
This completes installing the workstation software using IPSetup.
Additionally, you can run IPSetup to place required NonStop components
(if any) on the NonStop server.
b. If you selected a NonStop system and will use DSM/SCM to manage the IP
software, click the Use DSM/SCM to complete installation on the host
check box.
c.
If you select a NonStop system and deselect the Use DSM/SCM to complete
installation on the host check box, IPSetup moves the files from DSVs to
ISVs (for IPs).
In such scenarios, IPSetup performs the following steps:
1. Copies all the files from DSV and ISV location to the backup location.
2. After the files at the DSV and ISV are backed up, IPSetup purges all files
from DSV and ISV.
3. After purging the files, IPSetup places all the product files
in the DSV and
ISV locations.
d. Click Next >.
Note. If the IP has workstation and NonStop components, run IPSetup again to place
the components for the other platform. You cannot place workstation and NonStop
components in the same IPSetup session.
Note. You can specify the backup location in the Host Target Settings page.
