Automated Software Placement
Using the IPSetup Windows
Application
To move IP, RVU, or SPR software from the CD-ROM or other IP delivery medium
(DVD) to a NonStop system by using the IPSetup Windows application, perform:

Task 1: Launch IPSetup

Task 2: Provide Needed Placement Information
For detailed information on each IPSetup dialog box, see the IPSetup online help.
To access online help, click the Help button or press F1.
To access help for the fields, click the question mark (?) button in the top right corner of
any dialog box and then click a part of the screen.
Task 1: Launch IPSetup
1. Exit all other Windows applications.
2. Setup automatically launches when you insert the IP CD-ROM or DVD into your
CD drive.
If AutoRun is not enabled on your PC:
Double-click the Setup icon in the top level directory of the CD-ROM or DVD.
Setup launches.
3. Click the View Readme.txt file button.
Setup opens the readme file in Notepad.
4. Review the readme information.
5. Click the Run IPSetup button.
Setup launches IPSetup and remains an active window in the background until you
close it. Proceed to Task 3.
If you are not in Setup:
Double-click the IPSetup icon in the top level directory of the CD-ROM or DVD.
IPSetup launches, and you can proceed to Task 2.
