For RVU and SPR

If you specify Y, SETUPRUN starts the TAPESIM process, $ZRVU, and this
message is displayed:

Starting TAPESIM Process ...

Informs the successful launch of the TAPESIM process, $ZRVU, with these
messages:

TAPESIM server process $ZRVU has been started successfully.

Please launch the DSM/SCM Planner Interface to receive the RVU or SPR
into DSM/SCM by following the instructions under the section Receiving
and Managing Software Inputs of the DSM/SCM User's Guide.

Please stop the $ZRVU process after the DSM/SCM receive activity is
over, or if you do not wish to receive the RVU or SPR into DSM/SCM
immediately.

SETUPRUN processing with TAPESIM option:

Starts the TAPESIM process, $ZRVU, and informs the successful launch of the
same. These messages are displayed:

Verifying environment ...

Initialization ...

Starting TAPESIM Process ...

TAPESIM server process $ZRVU has been started successfully.

Please launch the DSM/SCM Planner Interface to receive the RVU or SPR
into DSM/SCM by following the instructions under the section, Receiving
and Managing Software Inputs, of the DSM/SCM User's Guide.

Please stop the $ZRVU process after the DSM/SCM receive activity is
over, or if you do not wish to receive the RVU or SPR into DSM/SCM
immediately.

Note. After the UNPAK operation with SETUPRUN is completed, the unpak log file,
unpaklog, is created at the location, where PAK files are present.

Note.

Using TAPESIM server process, $ZRVU, SETUPRUN mounts the first

tape file (999 code) from the specified location

$vol.subvol

.

Note. The Tapesim process $ZRVU simulates a real tape drive with a mounted tape. To
utilize it, specify $ZRVU as the tape drive for your Receive Software request in the Planner
Interface. Alternatively, it can also be used as a Restore command. For example, Use
Restore $ZRVU,*.*.*, listonly.

After successful completion of restore, stop the $ZRVU process by using the STOP
$ZRVU command from a TACL prompt.
