Task 2: Provide Needed Placement Information
The Placement Manifest dialog box displays all of the software that IPSetup will
place on the host system:
a. Check that the manifest contains exactly the software that you want to place.
b. Click Next >.
If you select Backup Files in the Host Target Settings dialog box, IPSetup
backs up any existing files to the backup subvolume. If you do not select
Backup Files, IPSetup purges any files in the work subvolume or DSV (and ISV
for IPs) target subvolumes, with names identical to files that are about to be
placed.
IPSetup then transfers the installation files to the work subvolume and creates
DSVs and ISVs. IPSetup displays the Status dialog box, which shows the
progress throughout the entire placement process.
