IPSetup closes and opens the release documentation, or launches DSM/SCM
as specified.
For more information on software configuration using DSM/SCM, see The
NonStop Software Essentials Installation and Quick Start Guide.
For more information on using NonStop Software Essentials, see The NonStop
Software Essentials Installation and Quick Start Guide.
Note. You can specify both or neither option in this dialog box. If you specify both
options, the release documentation appears, and DSM/SCM starts up in the
background.
If you are using NonStop Software Essentials for software installation and
management, then deselect the Launch DSM/SCM Planner Interface checkbox.
After you exit IPSetup you must launch NonStop Software Essentials manually
using HP Systems Insight Manager.
If you are using DSM/SCM (either PI or NonStop Software Essentials), ensure
STARTSCM is run on your system. If not, you will not be able to use the Planner
Interface or NonStop Software Essentials.
If you have specified not to use DSM/SCM, the IP software is placed into its ISV. You
can now use Install or whatever means
you planned to complete the installation.
