6. Select the template that you want to use in your new batch.
7. Click the Open button. The setup adds the data from your
selected batch to the microtiter plate. Repeat this process to add
additional existing batches. Go to step 5 to create a new batch or
go to step 15 to finish processing the multi-batch.
8. If you do not want to add a patient list to the current batch,
continue to step 10. If you want to add a patient list to a batch
within the multi-batch, click Load Patient List. An Open Patient
List File dialog box appears.
9. Select a patient list text file to append to the batch and click
Open. The patients from that text file append to the latest batch
added to the multi-batch. The rest of the list appends to the last
well occupied with a command.
If any of the acquire sample commands within the template of
the batch has any unassigned value, the system applies the first
patient ID in the list to the unassigned sample acquisition
command. The system appends any remaining patient IDs to the
end of the command list in order as they appear in the patient
list.
If all patient IDs in the batch or multi-batch are identified, the
system appends the patient list text file, beginning with the first
empty location after the batch’s or multi-batch’s last command
list activity.
An assigned value is the patient label by which you recognize the
sample and might take the form of a barcode entry number you
scanned into the system or the sample ID entered manually.
10. Click the New Batch button. A template selection dialog box
appears.
11. Select a template.
12. Click the Open button. A Luminex Batch Setup dialog box
appears.
13. Enter the batch name, the creator name, and batch description as
necessary.
14. Select either to load the batch for immediate use or to save the
batch for later use.
15. Click the Next button. A dialog appears prompting you to enter
the new lots.
