Interfaces of the positioner
The positioner Type 8791 is a 3-wire device, i.e. the power (24 V DC) is supplied separately from the set-
point value signal.
• Input for nominal position value (4 – 20 mA corresponds to 0 – 100%)
(depends on the position of DIP switch 1).
• Binary input
When applying voltage of > 10 V,
SAFEPOS will be activated, i.e. the valve is moved into the safety position.
• Analog position feedback (optional)
The position of the valve can be relayed to the PLC via an analog 4 – 20 mA output (4 – 20 mA corresponds to
0 – 100%).
