Testing in Loopback Mode
Use Loopback mode to test spools of cable, segments of
uninstalled cable, patch cords, reference test cords, and
launch fibers.
In this mode, the tester measures loss, length, and
propagation delay at two wavelengths in one or both
directions.
Figure 27 shows the equipment needed for testing in
Loopback mode.
