Source Checkup
When diagnosing problems with an encoder or source, it is highly recommended that
a local monitor be connected to the VNC 200. If a monitor is not already connected as
part of the system, it is suggested that one be connected temporarily. See the following
flowchart.

, try forcing the input to a manual source mode.
Check that an incompatible manual source mode has not been applied to
the input

try setting the input to ‘auto’.
Check that the Encoder is not in ‘Standby’ mode.
Check for loos

incorrect connections or faulty cables between the source
and the Encoder
.
Check that the source itself is actually stable
.
Check that the source type is supported and has been auto
-detected
correctly. If not
, try forcing the input to a manual source mode.
Check that an incompatible manual source mode has not been applied to

try setting the input to ‘auto’.
Try adjusting the clock phase settings. Check whether or not the source has Macrovision copy protection and set the Macrovision Defeat option accordingly.
Check that the correct color space as been applied to the source. Check for loos

Check that the original source itself is correctly framed

Try adjusting the Blanking settings on the Encoder.
