4.4.4.3 Pressure Compensation Option

The User Defined Pressure Compensation Options shown in Figure 4-17 are provided so you can
guarantee the accuracy of the data for your application. Level readings will vary based on
latitude, elevation, and density of the medium to be measured.

Latitude:

The first option is to enter in the latitude of the site. This must be in the range of 0 to 90
degrees. The default is 0 degrees. The difference in force from 0 degrees to 90 degrees is
0.1699 ft/sec².

Elevation:

The second option is to enter the elevation above sea level in meters. The default is 0
meters. Gravity will decrease at a rate of about 0.003085 ft/sec²/1000 ft.

Density:

The third option is to enter the density of the liquid to be measured.
