Peripheral Bays
The system supports a variety of standard PC AT-compatible peripheral devices.
The chassis includes the following peripheral bays:
T 3 1/2-inch front panel bay for mounting the standard 3 1/2-inch diskette
drive (supports 720 KB and 1.44 MB diskettes)
T three 5 /14-inch removable media device front panel bays for mounting
one inch high 5 1/4-inch peripheral devices, including the standard SCSI
CD ROM drive.
Note: M ounting a hard drive in the 5 1/4-inch bay is not
recommended due to cooling restraints and EMI
requirements.
T six internal hard disk drive bays for mounting up to six, one inch high,
SCSI hot-swap hard disk drives.
System Board Features
The system board features processor and memory subsystems residing on the
board. The following figure shows the components on the system board. Brief
descriptions of the major components follow the figure.
