This command specifies the network configuration protocol to be used. If you modify this value
change is effective immediately.

network protocol {none | bootp | dhcp},
where
bootp
indicates that the switch periodically sends requests to a Boot-
strap Protocol (BootP) server or a dhcp server until a response is
received.
none
indicates that the switch should be manually con-
figured with IP information.

This command specifies the maximum number of remote connection sessions that can be
established. A value of 0 indicates that no remote connection can be established. The range is 0 to
5.
