MVP–Series Printers
All MVP printers offer these standard features:
•
Alternate character sets
•
Electronic Vertical Format Unit
•
Elongated characters
•
Test pattern printing
•
Host mode control
•
Plotting
•
Slewing
•
Underlining
•
Accommodating a wide variety of forms, including card stock, adhesive
backed forms for label applications, and one–part to six–part bond for
reports.
In the normal operating mode, all MVP printers provide the following
standard functions at the control panel:
•
Placing the printer on–line or off–line
•
Changing spacing selection
•
Controlling paper advance
•
Displaying the current printer operating mode (1–5)
•
Displaying a status condition with a displayed fault code
•
Displaying the selected line spacing
In the normal operating mode, all MVP printers provide the following
standard functions from the host:
•
Changing the print mode
•
Changing the forms length
•
Configuring the printer
•
Running self–tests
•
Configuring with a Printronix Intelligent Graphics Processor (IGP–20)
to produce bar codes, labels, and business forms.
