4.5 LCD Panel
The LCD panel is part of the PCI-based RS/6000 hardware. During the boot
process the system will display 3-digit codes on the left of the top row on the LCD
panel. The intended use of the 3-digit codes is to assure the observer that the
firmware is operational after power-on and before information appears on the
console display.
Table 13 on page 72 shows the most important LCD codes. All possible codes
are documented in the
Service Guide manual for the corresponding PCI-based
RS/6000 server.
