5. Select the Adapter Parameters option from the Network Parameters submenu.
Select the corresponding LAN adapter (IBM LAN Adapter for Ethernet or IBM
Token-Ring Adapter). Select the View Parameters option and the Hardware
Address option. Check to see if the hardware address is correct. Use the Esc
key to return to the Network Parameters submenu.

6. Select the IP Parameters option from the Network Parameters submenu, and
enter the Client IP Address, Server IP Address, Gateway IP Address, and
Subnet Mask. Press Enter to save the network addresses.
7. Press the Esc key to return to the Network Parameters submenu.
8. Check the physical connection and the TCP/IP communication with the ping
function provided in the System Management Services Utilities/Network
Parameters submenu.
