2. If any ISA adapter is installed, enter the command:
lsresource -l bus -a | grep bus_io
This command generates a list of adapters using bus I/O that looks similar to

3. Select a Bus I/O Address that is not currently in use.
4. Install the 128-Port Asynchronous ISA Adapter device driver and diagnostic by
choosing:
smit isa
Install ISA Adapter Software
to install the fileset
device.isa.cxia128.
5. After installing the software, you might enter:
smit isa
Add an ISA Adapter
6. Select cxia isa IBM 128-Port Async, EIA-232 (ISA) from the SMIT pop-up
menu.
7. Select bus1 Available ISA Bus from the following SMIT pop-up menu.
8. From the menu described in Figure 37 on page 114, select the correct Bus I/O
Address, and press Enter.
