6. If any ISA adapter is installed, check for available Bus Memory values by
entering the following command:
lsresource -l bus -a | grep bus_mem

7. Select a Bus Memory that is not currently in use.
The valid Bus Memory values for use with the ISA Ethernet Adapter start at
0xc0000 and increment by 0x04000. For example, they are 0xc4000, 0xc8000,
and so on. The previous example shows
ent
is using the first Bus Memory
range of 0Xc0000.
8. Install the ISA Ethernet Adapter device driver and diagnostic by choosing:
smit isa
Install ISA Adapter Software
to install the fileset
device.isa.ethernet
9. After installing the software, you might enter:
smit isa
Add an ISA Adapter
10. Select ethernet isa IBM Ethernet ISA Adapter from the SMIT pop-up menu.
11. Select bus1 Available ISA Bus from the following SMIT pop-up menu.
12. From the menu described in Figure 40 on page 128, select the correct
Interrupt Level, Bus I/O Address, Bus Memory and Media Type values, and
press Enter.
