9.2.6 Resource Objects Definition
The following resources are required for a stand-alone installation:

9.2.6.1 Defining the lpp_source Resource Object
When defining the lpp_source object, we will use the /inst.images created
previously (see 9.2.2, “Filesystem Creation” on page 161).
The /inst.images directory will contain the software packages which may be copied
from tape or CD-ROM. This filesystem can also be made available from another
server, using NFS.
The following set of packages is referred to as
support images, and these are
required for the NIM operation. The packages' names can be specified in the
Names of Option Packages field. If you leave this field blank, the required
packages will automatically be installed.

To define the lpp_source resource object, proceed as follows:
1. Ensure the
/inst.images filesystem is mounted.
2. Enter the following fastpath command:
smitty nim_mkres
3. Select the lpp_source as the resource type.
