Owners of the magicolor 2210 can also purchase Color
Encore host-based software
which requires the use of a
densitometer (not included) to perform calibration. Once
installed, users simply print a target page from the soft-
ware application and measure the page with the densito-
meter. The measurement results are used by the software
application to return the magicolor 2210’s primary toner
densities to factory levels. Turn off Automatic Image
Calibration if Color Encore Calibration software is used.
In addition to performing printer calibration, Color Encore
can add a user-selected SWOP profile or custom dot gain
curve to the linearization so the printer simulates a
printing press or other device output
