The PostScript drivers for Windows 95/98/Me and
Windows NT 4.0/2000/XP use easy-to-read gas-gauge
style displays for conveying consumable levels. Users sim-
ply click on the “Consumables” tab in the driver to verify
remaining levels before they click print. This feature is
supported over TCP/IP only.
Another method for viewing supplies information is
through CrownView, the printer’s resident Web page. It is
accessed by typing the magicolor 2210’s Internet Protocol
(IP) address into the address field of any Web browser.
CrownView offers users a snapshot of consumable levels
and other printer activities, such as print job status and
the printer’s current configuration.
The last method of obtaining supplies data is by printing a
consumables usage page. Using the menu system from the
printer’s front panel, users can access and print the page for
further examination. It can also be conveniently viewed
remotely through CrownView. (See example on the
following page).
