The seven keys on the front panel enable users to review
and change printer settings.
•Menu: used to enter the menu system to view and change
configuration settings.
•Select: used to select a specific menu option. A selected
item is denoted with an asterisk.
•Í: used to scroll through the entries in a menu in
reverse order. The menu is designed to wrap around
when the end has been reached.
•Î: scrolls forward through the menu options.
•Online: toggles the printer between an online and
offline status. The printer must be offline and idle
before the menu system can be accessed.
•MP Size: allows user to select media size being used in
the multipurpose tray.
•Cancel: cancels the current print job.
The three LEDs provide visual indication of the following:
•Message:
lights amber to indicate the presence of an
LCD message generally referring to an offline condition.
• Online:
lights green to indicate the printer is ready to
accept and process jobs. The LED will extinguish when the
printer is taken offline or an error condition exists.
•Data:
luminates flashing green when the printer is
receiving data from one or more of the interfaces.
