The Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) has fast arisen
as one of the most popular document formats, primarily
used for electronic document distribution. The magicolor
2210 offers its own PDF emulation, supporting version 1.2
files. A significant benefit of this printer-resident emulation is
it allows users to directly print this file type without having
access to the source application. A hard disk is recommended
but not required.
Another HP printer language resident on the magicolor
2210 is HP-GL 7475A/7550/DraftMaster. Commonly associ-
ated with the HP plotter series, this emulation supports 600
dpi and includes 40 printer-resident fonts.
The last resident emulation found on the magicolor 2210 is
line printer
. This language allows ASCII data to print with
definable page margins, line spacing, line termination,
default fonts, orientation, and lines per page. It includes
ASCII, EBCDIC, PC US ASCII, and PC Multilingual
character sets.
