System Password
The Eicon 1530 provides a system password that restricts access to the web-based
configuration interface and the CLI. This ensures that configuration changes can only be made
by authorized personnel.
By default, no password is defined.
Setting a System Password
1. From the Link List, click ‘System’.
2. Enter the new system password in the ‘Login Password’ and ‘Repeat Login Password’ fields.
3. Click ‘Save’ then ‘Reset’.
Forgot your Password?
If you have forgotten your password, the only way gain access to the configuration pages is to
reset the Eicon 1530 to its factory defaults. See
Resetting the Device via the Reset Button on
page 30 for more information.
Note: Resetting the device also returns all configuration settings, including username and password
information, to factory defaults.
