11.6.3 Setting the Communication Period
The communication period is the time period during which the Sunny Central String-Monitor Controller
communicates with the Sunny String-Monitors. The communication period is set to 10:00 a.m. to 3:00
p.m. by default.
1. Select the Sunny Central String Monitor Controller you want in the plant tree.
2. Select the "Parameters" tab.
3. Set the communication period in the parameter fields "MoniTmComOn" und "MoniTmComOff".
4. Select [Save].
11.6.4 Setting the Monitoring Period
You can define a monitoring period for each of measuring channels. This allows you to filter out
temporary effects such as shade on the group of PV strings. The monitoring period is set to 10:00 a.m.
to 3:00 p.m. by default.
You can set the monitoring period for all the groups in the parameter fields "MoniTmGrAllOn" und
"MoniTmGrAllOff".
1. Select the Sunny Central String Monitor Controller you want in the plant tree.
2. Select the "Parameters" tab.
3. Set the start time for the monitoring period for each group or for all the groups in the parameter
fields "MoniTmGr1On" to "MoniTmGr6On" or "MoniTmGrAllOn".
4. Set the end time for the monitoring period for each group or for all the groups in the parameter
fields "MoniTmGr1Off" to "MoniTmGr6Off" or "MoniTmGrAllOff".
5. Select [Save].
11.6.5 Setting the Tripping Time
Using the tripping time, you can set the sensitivity of the string current monitoring, since it is included
in the calculation of the error sum. The tripping time is set to 35 minutes as default.
1. Select the Sunny Central String Monitor Controller you want in the plant tree.
2. Select the "Parameters" tab.
3. Enter the tripping time for each group in the parameter fields "TrgTmGr1" to "TrgTmGr6" in
minutes.
4. Select [Save].
