22 Proglets
22.1 OVERVIEW
Proglets can be used to automate many operations of Clarity’s Programmer. Proglets are
similar to the popular ‘Plug-Ins’ concept that exist for many software programs and are written
in JavaScript. Each Proglet creates a simple “User Interface” with buttons and sliders to allow
easy control.
Version 2.2 of Clarity introduces Proglets and comes with some pre-loaded Proglets which are
all focussed on making Dynamics easier and faster to create. Over time we add more features
and also allow access to other parts of the User Interface.
Experienced users with computer programming skills can write their own Proglets. Full
documentation on how to create your own Proglets is provided in the Appendix of this manual.
LSC will set up a dedicated section of the Clarity users forum to share Proglets with other
users. This will allow an Open Source concept where you can create new Proglets and share
them with other users to add power and features to Clarity.
22.2 IN BUILT PROGLETS
Version 2.2 of Clarity comes with some pre-loaded Proglets. You can access these Proglets from
either the Programmer window or the Palettes window.

On LX consoles, Proglets can also be selected from the “Action Centre” where the Proglets
button has replaced the Append button.
