All functions are accessible at the front panel by entering one of five pre-defined
Function Select categories or levels:

4.1.1 LED Indicators
General modem summary fault information, status, and alarms are indicated by the
10 LEDs on the front panel. The LEDs, when lit, indicate the following information:

Description
Faults
TX
Red
A fault condition exists in the TX chain.
RX
Red
A fault condition exists in the RX chain.
Common
Red
A common equipment fault condition exists.
Stored
Yellow
A fault has been logged and stored. The fault may be active.
Status
Power ON
Green
Power is applied to the modem.
TX ON
Green
TX is currently on. This indicator reflects the actual condition of
the TX, as opposed to the programmed condition.
Carrier Detect
Green
Decoder is locked.
Test Mode
Yellow
Flashes when the modem is in a test configuration. The test
mode status can be identified in the Utility System menu in
Figure 4-14.
Alarms
TX
Yellow
A TX function is in an alarm condition.
RX
Yellow
AN RX function is in an alarm condition.
