Event Preferences
The event options let you change the order of the events in the list view, enable alerts on your device so that you’re reminded about
upcoming calendar events, and determine which application’s events are available from the events page in Salesforce Classic.
•
Sort Order
: Select
Ascending
to display your event list view in ascending order, starting with the most recent. Select
Descending
to display your events in descending order, ending with the most recent. Note that your administrator probably
did not mobilize all of your Salesforce events. You might only see events for the next two weeks, for example.
•
Enable Alerts
: Select
Yes
to enable reminders for upcoming events. Select
No
to disable event alerts.
•
Display Pop-Ups for Alerts
: If you enabled alerts, select
Yes
to display an alert notification for your events. Select
No
if you prefer to be alerted without a popup window. You can change the reminder method using the Alert Type option.
•
Alert Type
: If you enabled event reminders, you can change the way the BlackBerry alerts you about your events. The alert
options are
Silent
,
Vibrate
,
Tune
, and
Vibrate and Tune
.
•
Advance Notice
: Specify the amount of time before the event that you want the reminder to appear.
•
All-Day Events Alert At
: Specify the time of day that you want to be alerted about your all-day events.
•
Calendar App Selection
: Select
Salesforce Classic Calendar
to access your Salesforce events from the
Events tab. Select
RIM Calendar
if you want the Events tab in Salesforce Classic to launch the BlackBerry Calendar application.
You can no longer view your Salesforce event records from the Events tab if you change the option to
RIM Calendar
.
Account Preferences
The account options let you change the order of the records in your account list and control how you are prompted to log information
to Salesforce after making a call from an account record.
•
Sort Order
: Select
Ascending
to display your accounts in alphabetical order, from A to Z. Select
Descending
to display
your accounts in reverse alphabetical order, from Z to A.
•
Log After Call
: Select
Yes
if you want Salesforce Classic to automatically create a new task or event after placing a call from
an account record. Select
Ask Me
if the application should display a popup window so you can specify whether you want to log
the call. Select
No
if you never want to be prompted to log calls for accounts.
Contact Preferences
The contact options let you change the order of the records in your contacts list, change the format of your contacts’ names in the list
view, and control how you are prompted to log information to Salesforce after making a call or sending an email from a contact record.
•
Sort Order
: Select
Ascending
to display your contacts in alphabetical order, from A to Z. Select
Descending
to display
your contacts in reverse alphabetical order, from Z to A.
•
Display As
: Select the format for contact names in list view. You can choose between
Firstname Lastname
and
Lastname, Firstname
.
•
Log After Email
: Select
Yes
if you want Salesforce Classic to automatically create a new task or event after sending an email
from a contact record. Select
